The dosage seems a little low. Most studies I’ve read about AKG are administered at least 4grams daily.As far as mixability. I take with water. I use the supplement midday, by itself.I haven’t noticed the effectiveness after taking for a week. I will try upping the dosage next week.

This manufacturer follows the (mostly self-monitored) good manufacturing standards, so I am assuming without independent proof that they are providing exactly what they claim. I was previously taking 750mg daily. With this formulation, they specify two capsules as a dose, with a total of 1100mg, so 550mg per capsule. There is no standardized recommendation for dosages, so I am actually taking only one of these capsuled daily, as the most general recommendations vary widely, between 300 and 1000mg daily seemingly to be the most common recommendations. I will continue to monitor some currently-ongoing studies to see if that recommendation changes, and I may modify my intake accordingly. For the money, this seems like a good value. I tolerated it without any discernible side effects--no stomach upset or anything. It seems to be a high-quality supplement with good effectiveness, although that is mostly taken on faith as it's not one of those things that has any big dramatic immediate effect--the benefit is seen over time.
